Summary
The Law on Civil Protection details the regulations in place to protect the public and environment by preventing and reducing the effects of natural or man-made emergencies, which, in terms of reporting, relates to industrial safety. Articles 74 and 75 requires those entities that use technologies, devices or materials of hazardous of explosive potential to apply for permits to operate, the details of which are outlined in the two Articles. Additionally, Article 82 of the Law on Civil Protection details the requirements of the organizations that operate the potentially hazardous facilities in case of incident or accident, which includes the immediate reporting of information concerning the situation to local authorities.
