Annual Accounts Act, 1999 amended 2005

Sweden Current 1999

The amendment to the Annual Accounts Act of 1999 states that certain companies have an obligation to include a brief disclosure of environmental and social information in the Board of Directors’ Report section of the annual report. The Annual Accounts Act (Årsredovisningslagen) was updated in 2005. Certain companies have to include more extensive non-financial information. The updating amendment was a result of implementation of the Accounts Modernisation Directive (2003/51/EC) of the EU in Swedish legislation.
