The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) Code of Corporate Governance provides a set of principles and recommendations for companies whose shares are admitted to trading on the regulated market. The main areas covered are responsibilities, internal controls and risk management system, compensation and motivation, relationship with shareholders. Listed companies are expected to include a corporate governance statement in their annual reports, as a specific section of the annual report which shall contain a self-as- sessment on how the “provisions to comply with” are observed and include the measures taken in order to comply with provisions that are not fully met.
