The Non-Discrimination Act is to promote equality and prevent discrimination. An authority, an education provider and an employer who regularly employs at least 30 employees, shall establish an equality plan for the necessary measures to promote equality.
The law prohibits all kind of discrimination, harassment, denial of reasonable accommodation, as well as following instruction to discriminate someone. Also discriminatory job advertising is prohibited by law. Discrimination based on age, origin, nationality, language, religion, belief, opinion, political activity, trade union activity, family life, health, disability, sexual orientation or other personal characteristics is prohibited.
