Recommendations for Dutch State Holdings, 2009

Netherlands Current 2009

In April 2009 the Dutch Minister of Finance informed Parliament that he expects the largest Dutch State Holdings to use the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Guidelines in their annual reporting. He recognised the effort required to implement reporting practices and the goals that different companies expect to reach through reporting. The Minister also signalled that he expects to include all the largest holdings in the national Transparency Benchmark of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Furthermore, he expects that the Dutch State Holdings will have the sustainability information they report externally verified.
