Summary
Under Royal Decree 1/2001, a facility that holds a valid wastewater license must submit an annual report to the competent Water Basin Authority or local administration of the autonomous community where it is operating. The report must be submitted in the format and by the deadline specified by each environmental authority. Generally, the wastewater discharge report must include the following information: characteristics of the activity generating effluents; exact location of the discharge points; qualitative, quantitative and temporary characteristics of the discharge; description of the treatment processes.
