Summary

This Brazilian Corporate Governance Code (Code) was prepared by the Grupo de Trabalho Interagentes (GT Interagentes), coordinated by the Brazilian Corporate Governance Institute (Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa - IBGC) and comprised of 11 of the most important entities related to the capital market. The purpose of the GT Interagentes is to propose discussions and actions to increase Brazil’s competitiveness improving the regulated environment, promoting incentives to increase long-term financing sources, and attracting resources that can ensure appropriate conditions for economic expansion and development of the country.
