Summary

The Outcomes for a Corporate Governance Andean Code (Lineamientos para un Código Andino de Gobierno Corporativo) (the Code or LCAGC hereinafter) provides a Corporate Governance framework for the five Andean countries (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela). The Code is the most visible product of a Corporate Governance Project, financed in 2003 by the Corporación Andina de Fomento - CAF, which was divided into three main stages: Stage 1: Domestic Legal and Regulatory Framework Assessment, Stage 2: Development of the LCGAC, Stage 3: Implementation in a selected company per country.
