Summary
The objectives of this regulation are: a. Establish general criteria and the general procedure for the management of waste declared as special handling waste; b. Establish the different levels of responsibility and propose forms of organization and participation in the management of special management waste by producers, importers, distributors, marketers, generators, and managers; as well as the municipalities. c. Promote, through the Compliance Plans and the Municipal Plans for Comprehensive Management of Solid Waste, the reduction of special handling waste sent to treatment and final disposal sites.
