Summary

This document will guide and dictate in an orderly and coordinated manner the actions and measures that Ecuador needs to promote to prepare the Nation to face the most intense and frequent extreme weather events; that will undoubtedly affect all sectors of the economy of our country. On the other hand, it will dictate the actions that Ecuador will proactively implement to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions in the strategic productive and social sectors to contribute to a global effort that seeks, with respect to its level of development and capabilities, stabilize emissions at a level that does not interfere with the climate system, allowing ecosystems to adapt naturally to an increase in the planet's temperature.
