The Civil Code regulates property relations, with a basis of the inviolability of property, in Kazakhstan, and is applicable to citizens, legal entities, the state, and administrative-territorial units. As such, the Code regulates key aspects to the founding and functioning of businesses in Kazakhstan. The Code determines how all business entities should act with regards to foundation, organization of capital, partnership and securities, liquidation, and bankruptcy, for example. These regulations are presented in general for all business and then in detail for different types of entity, e.g. partnership, limited liability, joint stock or cooperative.
