Corporate Governance Andean Code (1)

Colombia Current 2007

The Code provides a Corporate Governance framework for the five Andean countries (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela). An annual Corporate Governance Report is required (section 7) that will provide an “evaluation and overview of the observance of the internal rules on corporate governance”. The Code adopts the "comply or explain" principle, for which the Board must take responsibility annually.

More information

The guideline is divided into three sections. The first section corresponds to the introduction in which the relevance of sustainability reports in their contribution to the 2030 Agenda is addressed. This section also describes the fundamental purpose of the guideline and its structure. The second section provides information on the contribution of the sector guideline to the national context. The third and final section describes the referential framework in which the material aspects of the meat, fish and shellfish sectors are reflected through a classification of topics and sub-themes. These themes and sub-themes are measurable and verifiable through indicators, which are described in detail through a methodological sheet. Likewise, this last section integrates the step-by-step approach to the preparation of sustainability reports.
