The purpose of these guidelines is to streamline the framework of corporate social responsibility. The guidelines require that companies shall have a CSR policy in place which will be endorsed by the directors.

The guidelines are applicable to all public companies that have initiated or intend to initiate CSR activities. Further, it is expected that all public companies shall endeavor to adopt working models that complement the recommended guidelines with a focus on fair, transparent and responsible business practices. The CSR policy shall have broad indicators relating to commitment of management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation and reporting.
