Draft Modern Slavery Bill 2017

Hong Kong Forthcoming 2017

The Bill is modelled after the Modern Slavery Act 2015 of the United Kingdom. The Bill prohibits slavery and slave-trade in all their forms i.e. human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, sex tourism and forced marriage. The legislative proposal also proposes to establish an Independent Anti-slavery Commission to enhance and promote the measures to combat and prevent slavery and human trafficking, and to provide assistance and support to the victims.
