Two new laws, one on energy and the other on waste, will come into effect in 2013 and 2014. These laws, coupled with the Singapore Exchange’s voluntary guidelines on sustainability reporting and corporate governance disclosure, imply that the country is improving the strength of sustainability-related regulation.
