The programme focuses on the four pillars : 1. To achieve gender-responsiveness and the active participation of women in security and military sectors and peacekeeping missions 2. To achieve the meaningful participation of women in combating violent extremism and in national and regional peacebuilding. 3. To ensure the availability gender-sensitive humanitarian services that are safely accessible, by Jordanians and refugees; including women and girls who are most vulnerable to violence and in need of protection in host communities and refugee camps —in line with the Jordan Response Plan for the Syria Crisis. 4. To foster a culture that recognizes the importance of gender equality and the role of women in maintaining peace and security.
