Law N 12.305 Solid Waste National Policy

Law no. 12.305 sets out a Solid Waste National Policy, which requires that all entities that generate identified types of hazardous waste, develop and report a solid waste management plan.

Provisions on mandatory information disclosure include: a diagnosis of the waste produced or managed by the organization and the environmental liabilities it has incurred, waste management operational procedures, preventive and corrective actions, and reduction and recycling goals.
