National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights Revision

Switzerland Forthcoming 2019

The Swiss government plans to develop a consultation project on sustainability reporting based on the EU directive. Currently Swiss companies are not required to prepare a sustainability report and companies are encouraged to voluntarily introduce sustainable processes and integrate sustainable development information into their reports. However, accounting law requires all enterprises to be audited, which includes human rights where appropriate.
