In regard to Social and Environmental Responsibility for Limited Liability Companies, this regulation states that social and environmental responsibility is the obligation of a company that has business activities in the field of, and/or related to, natural resources.

Social and environmental responsibility is carried out by the Board of Directors after receiving approval from the Board of Commissioners or the General Meeting of Shareholders, in accordance with the articles of association of the company, unless otherwise stipulated in the prevailing laws and regulations. The implementation of social and environmental responsibilities shall be contained in the Company’s annual report. Any company who is not carrying out social and environmental responsibilities as stipulated in Article 3 will be penalized in accordance with the provisions of the legislation. On the other hand, article 8 paragraph (2) of the government regulation states that any company that participates in the implementation of the social and environmental responsibilities, as mentioned in Article 8 paragraph (1), may be given an award by the authority.
